all dolled up and somewhere to go

One of the most thrilling parts of getting married, I'm sure many of you will agree, is getting dolled up. Whatever your personal style is, there is just something so special, so very magical about choosing your wedding day attire (ignoring the fact that finding those pieces can be very frustrating :p)

Mr. Shortcake works out everyday, lifting heavier weights than me, all in pursuit of a Schwartzenneger-esque bod.  However, as muscle-rippley as this makes him, it also makes it very difficult for him to find clothes that fit his very broad shoulders and chest, his  itty-bitty waist, and pow'ful thighs. It also made shopping for a tuxedo that much harder! If your groom is in such a predicament as well, check out this uber-helpful guide I stumbled across at Cocktails & Details!

When it came to rings, we were pretty sure that we wanted plain, traditional gold bands. The symbolism would be heavy, and our wallets wouldn't become as light. Easy peasy.

Witness Mr. Shortcake's 6mm yellow gold "comfort fit" band:
