there she goes

What do I say to my readers on the night before my wedding? What can I say that expresses my gratitude, my overwhelming thankfulness for all of your support, for all of your encouragement, for all of your love during the last ten months?

Being thousands of miles away from my family, from my friends, from my vendors (!), I couldn't have made it without you all.

Thank you.

And do you know what the funny thing is? I wouldn't have done all of this without you either - all those little words, like "awesome," and "beautiful," and "woot! woot!" were tiny little seeds of creativity that you, my readers, planted in me.  And my, how my wedding has grown! I go into tomorrow with a song in my heart, a smile on my lips, and with a knowledge that if my wedding is beautiful, it is because it was a team effort. :)

It was sad really.  Shortcake had had a nice run on the WB, and then, *POOF* one pre-wedding visit to her floral event designer's studio and she "kicked the bucket, shuffled off her mortal coil, ran down the curtain, and joined the bleedin' choir invisible"...

fastest post in the west

I'm scrambling to get pictures of all our details before we pack them off for the reception venue, and scambling to write posts before  I have to leave my darling readers for my wedding and honeymoon (poor me, hey;) ). So, with that in mind, here is the fastest DIY post ever!

 How to make really cute table numbers:

MATERIALS:

  • frames
  • paper
  • spray paint
  • scissors
  • glue
  • sparkles optional

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • get cheap frames from a dollar store
  • spray paint them
  • fill them with paper and designs of your choice
  • insert the paper into the frame
  • display!

a sweet sneak peek

Perhaps I've been spoiling you guys with too many details of our big day, or perhaps you haven't had your fill of Shortcake quite yet... in either case, I've decided to keep some aspects of our wedding semi-secret. :) However, as any one close to my will attest, I am SOOOOOO bad at keeping (my own) surprises - so maybe I'll just share some eensy weensy little snippets of our favors.  Can you guess what the tag and label theme is?

all dolled up and somewhere to go

One of the most thrilling parts of getting married, I'm sure many of you will agree, is getting dolled up. Whatever your personal style is, there is just something so special, so very magical about choosing your wedding day attire (ignoring the fact that finding those pieces can be very frustrating :p)

For me, a never-to-be reformed sparkle lover, a vintage-detail collector, and a bonafide girly-girl, putting my big day ensemble together was especially enjoyable.
